Business Information under account settings cant be updated

When I try to edit my business information under account settings, as I'd like to add a freshly received VAT ID number, Paypal says the following: "Sorry, we are not able to process your request. Please check your entries and try again." Tried it multiple times spread over multiple weeks without success. I even filled out all the blanks without any mistakes and no blank is surrounded by a red colour, however it always gives me that error code as soon as I try to save the updated information. Thanks a lot for your response in advance!
