For context, I'm over 18 and live in the US, and I recently decided to try my hand at doing online digital art commissions as a side gig/hobby on social media. The issue was that I accidentally filled in the "registered business" section while signing up, when in reality I wasn't a registered business, so Paypal flagged my account as risky and placed a permanent limitation on it. I was wondering if I could somehow reverse this, or if I have to open up a new bank account and try signing up again?

Reach out to PayPal by opening a case at bbb.org under PayPal San Jose, CA. Explain the situation like you did here requesting another review to reinstate your account. Also ask to adjust the “business type” of your business account to “Individual” since you are not a registered company.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
