Removing 'device remains connected' settting?

I've just had this message from paypal:

"Since we recognise this device, you'll stay connected for quicker PayPal transactions."

I really don't want this, and am annoyed that that this major change to my account security has been made without my explicit consent.

I can't work out how to change it back to needing me to login to access my account - any ideas?

Thanks for your post and welcome to the community.
I understand your concern to turn off the recognize device option. I would request you to please follow the below steps to turn off the option. 

Log in to your PayPal account on a web browser.
Go to your Security settings.
Click Edit next to "Manage your logins".
Click Remove for each device.
Changing your password automatically revokes consent.

We’ll force login if we detect any suspicious activity.
