Paypal bank verification help

I have a Spanish paypal account. When linking a UK bank account to it, paypal send my bank 2 small transactions. When asking what they are to verify the account they are asking what the euro value of the transactions are. They sent it to a sterling Uk pounds pence account???? How do I verify my UK account when they want a euro € value of payments sent? Its impossible.

Paypal is country specific so you have to open a paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

You can however add a U.S bank account (not card) to 'most' other countries paypal accounts. This is because paypal is a U.S company and so allows this.

Why then does the add an account show about 100 Countries to choose from ?? Why did Spanish PayPal send my UK bank 2 payments to verify???
