Old email address

Hi;

I keep getting email from PayPal to an email address I've had for years but it is addressed to someone else. This is a person who used to have my email address and used it with his PayPal account. My telephone provider recycled this email address after he closed his account and I got it. Obviously, he can't used the address anymore as it belongs to me. I actually found him on Facebook and requested (texted) that he simply cancel his account as he is not using it. Unfortunately, he did not respond. This is not a huge deal; just a little annoying to keep getting these emails.

Any ideas?

I am sorry to hear someone has opened a PayPal account using your email address. The easiest way to get this sorted is to contact our customer support. We can confirm the email address belongs to you, and have it removed.

To contact our customer support, simply click on 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal page.
