Downgrading business account to personal account

I am an expatriate here in the United States and I use my PayPal account to pay for services or buy stuffs online. Few days ago, I offered someone a service and he paid me which I was unable to receive the payment into my account. It kept asking for SSN which I don’t have since I’m not a US citizen or something. So I thought switching to business account should be easier for receiving and seinding. On switching I still saw the enter SSN. Now the whole account can’t do anything, paying or receiving. Is there away too cancel my business subscription and go back to my normal personal PayPal. PayPal is extremely important for me to pay some of my hosting subscriptions. Please I need help

There is no automatic way to downgrade a business account to a personal account, you have to contact customer services and they will do that for you.

Click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available for your country.

Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.

OR
You could just close your business account (removing all subscriptions / financial info etc first) and open a personal one.
