Checkout Deadnames Me

I changed my legal name with PayPal a while but my deadname shows when checking out at a site and as PayPal.me profile name but not username. Is the fact that it does this at checkout and resulting emails from merchant relate only to the PayPal.me profile? How do I fix this!?! It is extremely bothersome.

Try clearing out your browser cookies/cache. I think your PayPal.me “link” stays the same, unless you requested it changed too with customer service. If the problem persists, close the account (remember to withdraw all funds, remove all banks/cards, unconfirmed email addresses) and open new account with your new name again.

 

Also remember to change your name at the merchant websites too that you have accounts to.
