2d step verification by app generator doesn't work

Hi

I have an issue with 2d step verification. I just installed my account and enabled 2d step verification by phone & Microsoft authenticator app

It seems the system doesn't work, cause when I'm trying to auth with the app, the code from the app is not valid, but from SMS is ok.

Any advice?

Apologies for piggy-backing on this question, but I have almost exactly the same issue, though in my case I am using google authenticator.  Auth app bad, SMS good!  But I'd rather use the auth app if only I could get it to work.  Set-up is fine, it's use during login that's the problem.  I always get the message "we're sorry, we couldn't confirm it's you".  No idea what to do about it.
