Sorting Code

I'm an american living in the united kingdom currently and my paypal was recently locked out, this is an issues as it was the main way I was paying for some UK services that are rather difficult to pay without having a UK bank account, which I do not. I was recently placed in restricted mode and it requests a sorting code for my bank to verify, but I do not have a UK bank or sorting code to be able to do this. Is there any way to have the verification switched back to a US based system?

Paypal is country specific so if you move country you have to open another paypal account in that country and add an address / phone number / and bank accounts from within that country.

The only exception is U.S expats can add their bank accounts to other countries paypal accounts (paypal is a U.S company so they allow their citizens to do this).
