Credit Card Conformation?

Hi, why does it take so long to confirm a credit card? I understand they can't be confirmed immediatley to help prevent fraud. However, i bought an item on EBay on Saturday morning and wanting to pay for it with my new credit card. I put the new card details  in on Saturday morning and it's now over 48 hours later and I've still recived no code to activate my card. The seller is getting very annoyed has he still hasn't been paid and I can't blame him. Needs looking at PayPal.

2-3 working days and we have just had a weekend !!

Suggest it may have been an idea to confirm your card BEFORE starting to buy stuff.

Ask paypal or your credit card company, not sure how we would know the answer to that one really !!

I have seen some PayPal employees posting on here. I was hoping one of them may reply tbh.

This is a user to user forum, the mods very rarely reply and if they do its general and not account specific info.
