I have a site that offers credit card payment (via PayPal) and PayPayPal payment. After a user pays with a credit card, PayPal calls my IPN url. Does PayPal calls my IPN url even after the user goes to PayPal to make a payment?

Hi, with IPN (if enabled in your account) you will receive notifications of received payments and basically all the incoming transactions. If a buyer sends a payment throug PayPal to you you will receive a notification but if you send a payment through your profile you will not receive any.
