unclaimed status. seller want me to send money to other address.

Hi! This is my first post.  I searched on paypal homepage, but it didn't help me.

ok.  I bought some stuffs on ebay.  actually i won the auction.  and i sent money

right away.  but seller didn't get my money.  so i checked my paypal account.

it shows unclaimed status.     and i found out email address is wrong. actually seller told me that. it's not my fault.

I just won the auction and just paid through paypal.  now seller want me to contack paypal and

send money to right address.   is it possible?  or do i have to cancel the payment?   if i cancel it how

long does it take to get my money back?  I used credit card.

Hi grjmmr-

From our Help page, here are the instructions to cancel an unclaimed payment.  How long the funds take to post back to your card will depend on their policy for credits.  Mine usually post back within a couple of days.

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click the My Account tab.
3. Click the History subtab.
4. Click Cancel in the Order status/Actions column of the transaction in question.
5. Click Cancel Payment.
