payment sent to inactive email address

payment was sent to an email address that is no longer active. what do i do?

forgot to mention: i'm the one trying to get paid in order to mail out my item

If you still have access to the inactive e-mail address you can add it to you Paypal account again.

Or ask the customer to void the transaction in her paypal account by finding the payment line and pressing the 'Cancel' button that will be there is the paypal account address is inactive as well.

If the Paypal account IS still active, just sign into it using that address and your password and refund the payment.

Just because the email address has been terminated doesn't mean that the paypal account is closed.
