PayPal has fees too?  On top of the eBay fees?

I thought that having the free use of our $$ was what PayPal got out of it.

Yes, Paypal has fees - they're spelled out in the User Agreement that you agreed to when you opened your account.

Read the User agreement - Paypal follows it exactly and you have to as well if you want to be covered by their programs.
