difference between Paypal (Mastercard,visa, Amex, Discover) and Credit Card (visa, stercard,Amex).

I would like to know the difference between
a) Paypal (Mastercard,visa, Amex, Discover, Bank) and

b)Credit Card (visa, stercard,Amex).

I always see these payment methods on the ebay and I am confused.
can you please explain.

for eg: If I have $20.00 in my Paypal Account and I want to buy an Item for $25.00 on ebay can I buy using Paypal(visa,Mastercard,Amex,Bank) if the seller accepts only Paypal (visa, Mastercard,Amex) as the option.

Hello Siddu,

PayPal option... you can pay using your PayPal account balance, or via a major credit card through the PayPal system.

Credit Card option... you only want to pay using a major credit card (no need to have a PayPal account).

In your example, you would choose to pay via PayPal. Since you only have $20 in your PayPal account balance, the remaining $5 can be paid using your back-up funding source (i.e. a credit card).
