I'm buying somethin off ebay and I don't want the full cost of my purchase on the credit card but instead use the rest of the money in the account and then pay the rest on a credit card.
ex. I have $40 in my account, the thing i'm buying cost $50, how can i use my $ in the account for it.

First, make sure you have a linked Bank Account and/or credit card linked to your PayPal account.
When you win the eBay auction and click the Pay with PayPal button, then you will login. PayPal should default to use the $40 in your account. You can then choose to use your linked Bank Account or Credit Card for the remaining $10 fund source.
If you choose to pay the $10 instantly via your Bank Account, you still need a credit card on file as a backup payment source, or you will be sending an eCheck for the $10 remainder which takes about 3-5 business days.
Hope that helps!
