Using ONLY bank account as funds for an eBay purchase?

 Is it possible with money in my paypal balance?

I have some money in my paypal balance currently.  Its not enough for what I'm going to purchase.  I would like to only use my bank account as the funds for what I will purchase, but I wouldn't like to use ANY of the paypal balance but just let that sit where it is - only the bank account would I like to use.  Is this possible?  Is there some preference I can change on eBay or PayPal or will I be prompted with an option like this when I pay for the item?

You can use an echeck to fund the entire payment. .. echecks are bank account funded payments which take 3-5 business days to clear.

To send an echeck payment, click on the "More funding options" link on the confirm payment screen and select echeck as the funding source. Here's a screen shot from the eBay checkout procedure...
