I use the basic Add To Cart button. Is there a way to calculate/fix quantity discounts..? eg: 1-24 $10 25-99 $9 etc....

Unfortunately not with just the basic item button code.  You need a small bit of custom scripting to manage the logic.  Here's one example that does what you have in mind.
