This works fine in Firefox, Safari, chrom but under IE8 and Opera, when I connect my customer to Paypal thru name='cmd' value='_xclick'> and <form action='https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr' method='post'> option for paying I get a popup that says:
Security Warning!
Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securily?...
and then the dollar amount, description data that I am sending up to paypal is wiped out and the user is asked to enter that information again.
Any idea?

We need to see the entire process of what is going on with your item button code. Are you including a graphic logo on the PayPal Screens?
You need to provide a URL to the web page that one of your item buttons so we can test it.

Did you use IE8?
I have a company logo embedded on the paypal page thru my paypal account, I don't send it up during submission of the order.
Thank you.

I did not see a graphic logo on the PayPal Screens, just a company name.
If your plan is to display a graphic logo, then see the tip on this page titled:
** Displaying your business and/or logo graphic on the PayPal Screens.**
