I have a personal account, and yet when someone sent me $250 from their checking account,  I was charged $7.55 for receiving it!

???

Why was I charged a fee and how do I recover it?

Hi PowerPro-

Refund the payment to the sender and make sure it is resent as a Personal payment, not a Purchase.  Also make sure the person isn't using a bank debit card to pull the funds from their bank.  There are two tabs in the Send Money flow, and Purchase transactions are charged.

Here's the link:

If you still have the full balance in your account (this is very important...a refund where the full amount is not in the PayPal account will be taken from the bank on your account), then click on the transaction details and scroll down to the Refund link, completing the necessary steps.

Thanks,

Jason
