Ive come in contact with a seller that is going to ship me an item, and will be paying him over paypal. The transaction is not over ebay and have talked to the seller over the phone. How can i ensure that once i pay him that he will be sending me teh item that i payed for and what to do if scammed(not the right item).
The problem is that you have ZERO protection if the item is not as described unless the item is sold on ebay.
You could protect yourself by using a credit card to pay paypal - that way, the credit card can provide protection for the "Not as described" issue and extra protection if the item doesn't arrive ( paypal will cover you for that, but you'd have to file within 45 days of purchase)
