Buyer Fraud - PayPal Not Protecting Seller - Stiffing Seller!

After years trading on eBay as a buyer and a seller of my personal things - I've never been more disgusted with my current experience, and PayPal's Resolution "Specialists."

Over the years I've sold many high end items - including a motorcycle worth thousands of dollars.  I pride myself in never misrepresenting the item - there's no sense in misrepresentation!  I care about my feedback!  I care about the Buyers!

Last few weeks I sold a vintage Chanel that is in beautiful condition, no damage what so ever - winning bidder has Zero feedback (I should have known better).  However, I gave buyer benefit of the doubt.  Buyer paid timely.  Buyer left Positive feedback,  "Thank you very much. The Bag is Gorgeous. VERY NICE SELLER. Highly recommended."

Five days later, Buyer writes to tell my the opposite - bag is dirty, sticky, unacceptable condition.

I asked Buyer to communicate via eBay message.  I pointed to buyer's previous feedback.  Buyer then process a Claim through PayPal.  In the Claim buyer actually said the bag is peeling, ripped, etc... item not as described.

Clearly there are discrepencies in all the claims, yet PayPal awarded the Buyer full refund.

My concern is not so much refunding the money and taking my item back - but clearly this is a fraud on Buyer side, and as a Seller I have no protection.  Further, it could be that the Buyer damaged the item, have buyer's remorse, what not... and I am stuck with the eBay and PayPal fees.  And worst, who's going to validate when my item returns in worst condition than when I sent it?

I am disgusted - and this could end my use of their services.
