SOld a phone, payment shows as "held" on Paypal, if I now issue a refund, won't that make me lose the sale plus the refund?

Hi Welchind,
Thank you for contacting the PayPal Community Forum and welcome as a new member!
If a buyer has opened a claim against an item you sold and they have been instructed to return the item you do not need to manually issue a refund. The buyer will need to provide the tracking information to PayPal and this will be reviewed to ensure delivery is confirmed. Once the delivery is confirmed PayPal will perform the refund.
