I set a buy now price on a item but forgot to set a reserve price. Now a 99p bid has won the auction. Can I reject this outcome or am I forced to sell my valuable item for 99p

You can't be forced to sell.
However you may well get negative feedback from the buyer but to be honest that is probably better than losing a lot of money.
Normally i would say its tough and you should send the item to the buyer but if it was a genuine mistake and the item is valuable then i for one would not blame you if you don't go ahead.
If the buyer pays then just refund him with an apology.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
