I sold my hotel booking on ebay as I could no longer go and the booking was non refundable. As it happens I ended up selling it for more than what I had paid for them. But despite giving the buyer all info about the room prior to ebay sale they decided 1 day before the booking date to upgrade the room I had sold. They asked the hotel without consulting me to cancel & refund the booking and now want me to refund that sale on ebay! I would have considered cancelling the sale if the buyer had contacted me sooner as I would have had time to resell the room booking on ebay. But I didn't have that option 1 day before when the room was booked for. I have disputed this with ebay and am waiting to hear back. Will paypal provide me any protection in this case?
