suspcious paypal email

Received an email supposedly from Paypal with  details of a transaction I did not make. There is a link on it to dispute it if need be but I dont want to click on it if it is a scam

I cannot find a customer service contact button anywhere on the site or an online helpline

Firstly how did that email address you? If it was not by your full name then it would be a spoof.
Secondly if there was a link OR attachment in that email to ''cancel'' the transaction then again it would be a spoof.

If there was a problem with your account paypal would not ask you to click on an unsafe link in an email, they would direct you to log in normally and go to the resolution or the message centre for more information.

If you want to contact paypal c.s then you click on HELP / CONTACT bottom of this and every other paypal page and select the phone option.
