Hi.  Hope someone can help.  Probably a daft question but can I pay an ebay seller from my PayPal account for more than I have in my PayPal account?  I have registered my bank card but not my bank details which I dont really want to do.  Just wondered.  Thank you for any help.

You never need funds in your paypal account as a buyer.

But if you do then paypal will normally use those first.

If you have funds in your paypal balance but not enough for the purchase then paypal will use those funds and then debit the rest from any funding source you have linked and confirmed to your paypal account, in your case a card.
