I want to buy an item from ebay with a value of just under £500.00, am I covered with buyer protection for such a high amount ? Thanx.

Whether you are covered for buyer protection is not down to the amount.

Buyer protection is never a 100% coverall so you really need to read up on buyer protection and then you can risk assess your transactions.
