Hi- I'm going to receive a payment in US dollars. At the moment my default currency is British pounds. Is it better for me to enable US dollars in my account settings prior to receiving the payment, or should I wait until I get sent the payment, and choose to accept and convert it to British pounds [according to these PayPal instructions:
If you receive a payment in a currency you don’t hold, the payment will show as Unclaimed. You will see options to Accept or Refuse the payment.
To accept or refuse a payment in another currency:
- Go to Activity.
- Choose to Accept or Refuse.
- Click Submit.]
?
I don't want to run the risk of having dollars in my UK account and not be able to spend them.
Thanks!

Why are you letting a buyer pay in their currency? Much better for you and just as easy for them to pay you in sterling.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
