Cash not taken from bank yet

I made an Ebay purchase yesterday, but funds are still in my bank account.  Why haven't Paypal taken them yet ?

When you pay a seller it is never instant > paypal credit the seller for you and then start the process of uploading your funds to paypal from your funding source. This is done so you get your item more quickly.

Funds can 'leave' your bank account from a few hours up to a few days later BUT as long as the payment has been 'sent' in your paypal account then your seller has been paid.
