Getting started with your PayPal business account

Follow the guides below to complete your account set-up in 3 easy steps. You’ll need to confirm your email address, add a bank account and choose a PayPal payment solution.

Download the Account Overview guide

Step 1: Confirm your email address

We'll send you an email when you've signed up for your PayPal business account. Click the link in the email to confirm your email address. If you can't find our email, log in to your PayPal account and click the Profile icon.

Step 2: Add a bank account

Add and link your bank account

Link a bank account to your PayPal account to withdraw the money you receive. It's easy and normally takes 3 - 5 business days.

  1. Log in to your PayPal account
  2. Click on the "Money" tab and then Link a Bank Account
  3. Enter your bank account information and click Continue

Step 3: Verify your financial details

Verification of your financial details is one of our security checks to help maintain a more secure network for buyers and sellers. There are two ways you can get verified.

1. Confirm your bank account
Once you've added a bank account, we'll make two small deposits into the bank account provided. This usually takes 3-5 business days. Once you see these deposits in your bank account statement, log in to your PayPal account to enter the two deposit amounts to complete the verification process.

2. Confirm your credit card
Add your credit card to your PayPal account. This generates a 4-digit code on your online credit card statement within 2-3 business days. Log in to your PayPal account to enter the code to complete verification process.

Step 4: Select a PayPal payment solution to suit your business
