You may already know this, but I have just discovered how to get out of the infernal hell that is PayPal's voice non-recognition automated phone system. When you get fed up with shouting, "NO!" every time the stupid robot makes another wildly wrong guess at what you are trying to say, just shout, "Give me a human being!!". Somehow this seems to be a phrase the system recognises, and you will magically be transferred to a queue, with hold music that is considerably less frustrating than the deaf robot. At least you feel you are waiting for something to happen, rather than being repeatedly ignored!
