Paypal wont refind unauthorised transaction - Why?

I spotted an unorthorised transaction on my account and reported it. then changed my password.. 2 days later there's another unortherised transaction on my account from the same company.

I reported this to paypal and they sent the company 3 emails for each transaction. it dosen't say in the dispute centre if they got a response or not.

Both cases are now closed with this text

  • A PayPal claims specialist has reviewed the case and determined that the claim does not meet the criteria for unauthorised use, so the case is now closed

What can i do now? Granted the amounts are small but is their anything to stop this company continuing to charge my account? If changing my password wont stop them, what will?

I need some practical help from paypal or the only fix i can think of is to close my account.

thanks,

OMG ! cant believe paypal is not doing anything about it !

i got same problem, there was money sent from my account to someone called CONNIE on 18/05/2011 at 12:15 (when i was taking my son to the nursery !)

I got no idea who this person is,and i can see now, that paypal is not safe to use .

when/if i get my money back,i am closing my paypal account !

will let you know my outcome ... but i have a feeling its not going to be good !

Hello sondre & James123321,

I would suggest giving our Customer Service a call so that they can take a look at the transactions for you.  They can provide additional information upon reviewing your account as well.

I hope this matter is resolved for both of you,

Lilly

i opened the case,and called paypal .

asked if its possible for me to set up something like e-cheque for future payments which takes about a week to complete,so i have enogh time to cancel if someone tries to steal from me again ....

but guess what .... the answer was NO !

The question is,why do they say - Paypal is the safe way to pay online ?!? its very UNSAFE !

Cancel your pay pal account and open a new one, but NOT before calling pay pal direct. You need to speak to a real person and don't let up. I had a problem with THEM taking funds from ME! I called so many times and got the rudest unhelpful people, and then , on about the 4th or 5th call, I got someone to actually help me and they gave me my money back. It's a crap shoot, but don't let up. They monitor the calls and if you won't give up, they probably will.

I agree with Linstwin55 don't give up it is a crap shoot because sometimes you get the rudest people they have and sometime you will get the most helpful people they have as for the rudest people they just are there to furstrate you and to make you give and feel bad for interuting them they can make seem like you are inconvinancing them because you are calling on something you are contesting which is wrong for them to do. They need to put all there through customer service training class and tell they the customer is always righte until they can prove otherwise. So people don't keep calling until they give up.

You can cancel you credit card or the paypal account and then just open a new paypal account and request a new number and card from your bank or credit card provider.
