I Got Scammed! :(

Well, I was talking to this guy that was selling and HD PVR. He said to pay using paypal and send as a gift. So I sent the $80 as a gift. He started making up excuses why he couldn't ship the PVR. So I asked for a refund than he said this:

well i did not know I am not familiar with paypal can you at least contact him and if he doesnt reply send back the money?
