I am traveling to Japan for 2 weeks in August, a personal vacation. I want to use a debit card for purchases and food etc and want to get the best rate. Would using my paypal card be the best? I also have a Wells Fargo card and will have a little yen before I arrive.

Hello gaerig,
Welcome to the Forums, we are happy to have you here.
Yes you can use your Debit card in Japan, although you may want to contact PayPal prior to going so we can notate your account and prevent any holds on your account. Have a fun trip.
Misty
