I am working on a website for a client and am having difficulty sorting out which PayPal service to use. My client wants to offer subscription-based products on his e-commerce website. However, other clients have complained about PayPal sending too many notifications and some instances of double-charging customers. I just spent an hour reading through the API documentation and it sounds like both PDT and IPN are necessary, but there's also PayPal PRO.
My client plans to accept credit/debit cards from customers who do not have a PayPal account.
Any clarification and help would be greatly appreciated.
