Hi,
I work for a site that integrated Braintree as a payment processor. Braintree allows Paypal transactions. The site owner frequently receives emails from Paypal regarding billing agreement cancellations, and in that email we are provided the customer's email address and billing agreement ID.
We try to match the customer's email address with the data in our database but sometimes we can't find a match - the customer might have changed the email address on Paypal side maybe?! Also, we don't have the billing agreement ID in our database - all we have is the transaction ID, credit card token and unique card identifier provided by Braintree.
The question is: what's the proper way to match that billing agreement with the data from Braintree? I've contacted Braintree and was informed to contact Paypal instead.
Thank you
