how do i return and get a refund when seller wont reply?

I purchased a pond vaccum via ebay back in 0ct 16 and didnt realise at the time i had paid through payplal but as a guest. We used the item for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it started smoking and let off fumes like it was scorching. I've tried to contact the seller via phone, but it goes to voicemail, and the box is full. Their email address comes back as undeliverable, although they are still trading on ebay, and their returns policy says not to return anything until theyve been contacted. I have the transaction showing on my cc statement but how do i proceed with getting my money back?

You can still open a dispute as a guest payer BUT you need to phone customer services and they will do it for you  >>

Click on the words "Contact" at the bottom of your paypal account summary page and use the phone option (if there is one in the country you are in) > click on the "call us" option on the left (fees "may" apply so check the cost with your phone tariff first, as you sometimes have to wait a while to connect).

When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent or say the word "agent".



If for any reason you lose the dispute then contact your card issuer and they should be able to chargeback for you.
