How to dispute a gift transaction

I know this probably has been posted before but there has to be some way to settle this through paypal. I paid for a service but didnt put it as service, I put it under gift, this was my first transaction that I have ever done. Besides contacting the person, Is there anything PayPal can do?

Your only hope is if you funded the paypal payment with acredit card or branded debit card. 

 if you did contact the card company and file a chargeback
