Case closed "Amicably resolved" I wasn't reported anything at all.

I just got this from PayPal:

"Because you reported that this claim has been amicably resolved, this case has been closed."

I did not report that the claim was amicably resolved, I complained to complaint-response team two times but they weren't reply. My case was rejected because they said:

"Unfortunately, we are refusing your claim because your purchase was for a
virtual, digital or intangible item, which is not covered under PayPal
Buyer Protection. We only cover claims involving physical items that can be
posted and tracked.

We encourage you to work directly with your seller to resolve the problem.
You'll find their contact details on the Transaction Details page"

more details :

Case ID: PP-003-881-176-333
Transaction Date: 28 Mar, 2015
Transaction Amount: -$70.00 USD

I am a bit confused as to why case is closed and rejected as this is not intangible item at all. I said that it was a book and paypal has sent the email to the seller requesting tracking number and such. The seller does not give refund and I have not heard anything from this seller.

I lost my phone today I was unable to contact paypal and im a bit frustrated.

Could you help please?

You are in the U.S??

In that case intangible items are not covered but as you say yours was a physical goods.

This is the U.K forum you are posting on so that is why i said you were covered for intangible goods as we are in the UK.

Best to post on the U.S boards as paypal differs country to country.

Good luck.

Thats weird because not only was it physical goods but also paypal do now cover intangible items in the UK.

I would give them a ring and find out what happened, i would be well miffed.

Click on the words "Contact" at the bottom of your paypal account summary > click on the "call us" option on the left (fees "may" apply so check the cost with your phone tariff first, as you sometimes have to wait a while to connect).

When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent or say the word "agent".

Thanks for the message kernowlass.

I feel strange as to why I have the 'appeal option' while they confirmed that my claim was rejected because it was intangible item.

I appealed in the timeframe but receive no reply.

The seller now refuses to respond. I have no filed a police report online in Detroit, Michigan and I search his name in facebook I message all of them in his family.

I just want my money back.
