Case Closed, but being reviewed!!!

Hi folks, 

 

got it a tricky situation here.

 

I opened a case, which the seller agreed to giving me a full refund.

i have been fully refunded and sent the item back via tracked post.

 

heres were it gets confusing:

I phoned paypal who are saying that the case in there eyes is closed because seller agreed to full refund,

but in my paypal and I've been told sellers, the case is still open and "being reviewed by paypal".

there is not option for me to close case or enter tracking number to show is arrived back today.

 

i am being requested by seller to close case, but no options are appearing.

 

any suggestions greatly appreciated.

That is a tricky one and it might actually be best to contact us through one of our other social media channels to resolve this.

 

If it's just a simple case of closing the PayPal case because you've already been refunded, our specialists can usually do this in no time at all with your written permission.

Apologies for the late reply. It sounds like the seller issued the refund outside PayPal and the case may still be under review, which is why you don't see the option to close the case or respond.

 

Can you try to send us a message on Facebook via https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK? Alternatively, you can reach out to us from the Contact us option in your PayPal account.

Hi Jessica and Conor,

 

i havent been able to access the message through Facebook.

tried using the contact us through your site, I sent a message through your message centre on Wednesday - had no reply thus far.

 

is there any one here who can assist me if I give you the case number?? And tracking number of parcal back to seller - I returned the item in the 19th September!!

Click on the words "Contact" at the bottom of your paypal account summary page and use the phone option (if there is one in the country you are in) > click on the "call us" option on the left (fees "may" apply so check the cost with your phone tariff first, as you sometimes have to wait a while to connect).

When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent or say the word "agent".

Is there a email address I can use??

i really dislike using the phone.

you have to be able to allow people who can't use a phone for what ever reason to contact you.

You can email paypal by using contact  > email or phone.

 

Failing that twitter or facebook.

They are the only options.
