Never recieved item and now case is closed

Im new to paypal basically heres what happened. I brought an item and the seller ignored me ever since i paid. I file for a dispute They tell me i dont need to do anything and paypal will email me if they need me to provide additional information. I check my email everyday to make sure everything is ok. No emails. Then after a while my credit card gets charged! I log onto paypal and i found out case was closed and i cant do anything. Now what? Friend told me to file a dispute with cc company which i did. Anyway what else can i do to re dispute the case in paypal? I did not know i have to escalate the case and paypal never told me -- i found this out after reading the faq. Can i call paypal to reopen the case so i can esclate it?

If you have filed a dispute with your credit card company you don't need to do anything at all. If you continue to push paypal for reimbursement after you have filed a chargeback wtih your credit card I am pretty sure this can be viewed as fraud since you are then trying to receive a double refund.
