ITEM NOT RETURNED AFTER DISPUTE RULING IN BUYERS FAVOUR

HI recently sold 2 pairs childrens wellies on ebay - listed and descripted as used with some minor scuffs which in my opinion was the case, however, buyer disagreed and immediately opened a dispute with paypal, this dispute was granted in the buyers favour, which always seems to be the case, upon return of the item for which they must pay return postage.  Buyer has badgered me with some very unfriendly messages saying that they will not pay for return postage although they have provided a tracking number and told me postage cost them £9.72 (only cost me £4.41 to post to them!!!!)   However, 9 days after they said they'd posted them 1st class I still have'nt received them and tracking number just says progressing through the system.  If I don't receive returned item is it right and fair for me to have to honour this refund.   If any of my parcels go astray (fortunately very few) I would always refund my buyer and then make a claim through Royal Mail.   Can anyone tell me how I can tell paypal that I have not received returned items.  Many thanks

A simple phone call is typically all you need to do to open a dispute appeal and make sure you are clear in the fact they never returned the item as required by the dispute agreement.  Once PP finds there is no evidence of the return, you get the payment in full applied back to your balance.

Many thanks, following receipt of a very abusive email from buyer which I reported to ebay I did indeed telephone paypal where the lady was very helpful and has put a note on the dispute .
