I wonder how long paypal takes to review an open dispute for Not as described item bought from seller

When I receive the items they are not original chi flat irons, this ones are the counterfeit china made ones, but the seller strongly disagree in my statement, when I have the items in my hand...

I open the dispute in Jan 17 2011 for item not received, days pass and when I receive the items  I changed as not as described item( because the items are not the original from farouk) in Jan 22 2010, the case escalated that day and paypal send me an e-mail saying the seller strongly disagree in my claim,  And they have to review the case

please some one when thru this before or just me?

do I should contact my credit card company for them to get my refund for this fake items?Smiley Mad

I feel so aggravated now

You really should wait to see what outcome PayPal decides prior to contacting your credit card company.  Have you submitted pictures of the fake item in the dispute?

Only advice I can offer is when buying a high end brand......go through authorized retailers and pay double to ensure you get what you paid for.  You should be ok in this situation as this is not a new thing.  I've even seen the fakes at TJ Max, Marshalls, and Ross when I was shopping with my fiancée.

The place where I bought the items state in their website this was 100 % authentic products with an 80% discount

I guess if sound to good to be truth is not truth...

I saw in the open dispute page faxes sent or document sent to paypal but I don't know how or where to send the pictures of this items, the seller sent my a e-mail asking me to sent him the items to an address but I don't know if a should sent it

because then I'm not going to have a proof of this (fake-counterfit items).

On the seller paypal account is not address to contact the seller is only a e-mail, they don't have a phone to call customer service either...

I wonder how paypal let company's or persons set-up an seller account this way.

There is an option under the resolution center and your current dispute to upload documents (including images such as .jpg, .bmp, .gif, etc etc....).  You would need to grab a digital camera and capture as many detailed pictures of the item as possible.  If you have windows 7 have you used the snipping tool yet?  This will allow you to take a screen shot of the webpage you bought the item from showing they claimed it as being authentic.

Try finding the upload portion in the resolution center, if you can not reply back to this thread and I'll try to snap a few screen shots of what you should be looking for.

Hey Again:

The Windows 7 Snipping Tool is located under:

Start (Windows Flag lower left) ->

All Programs->

Accessories->

Snipping Tool

This tool allows you to capture anything on your computer screen to show someone else.  As Adrian quoted in another thread, when you submit the screen capture (snap shot) you will also want to submit the URL where you get the image from so PayPal can verify the image is legitimate.

If these directions do not assist you I am not sure we will be able to help you any further without touching base with PP directly.

Try:

1. Log into your account at https://www.paypal.com/
2. Go to the Resolution Center, and then click "Resolve" in the Action column of the transaction in question.
3. Click "Resolve Complaint."
4. Select the radio button to provide the documentation and click "Continue."
5. Select a method to submit your documentation.
6. To upload your documentation, click "Browse."
7. Select the file you want to attach.
8. Click "Open."

Give the file a recognizable title.

· The title should not include more than three numbers
· You may provide a description of the file you are sending, up to 100 characters
· Click "Attach this File"
· Information about your file will appear under the Attachments box.

In the Attachments section, you can preview the file or delete it.

· Repeat steps 1-3 as many times as required, up to a total file size of 5000kb
· Click "Send Files to PayPal" to submit your files for review by PayPal

No, I think I have to call paypal to resolve this issue

because in the action tab only shows "view"

do not shows resolve, I click view and is not link to "resolve complaint" so I'm not able to send no files to them.

Thank you for your help 😉
