under 18 account?

So, I'm currently researching how i can open a paypal for my son who's under 18 and want to know if paypal has like a student paypal thing? because i heard paypal can hold your funds if you're under 18 and it's not something i want to go through. any help or info would be great

Paypal no longer has student accounts and....

Paypal does not allow account holders under the age of 18.
PayPal asks for a birth date when you register so whilst you can make a PayPal account with false information the account will be subject to sending and receiving limits.
When those limits are reached then you would be unable to verify the account so the account would be locked for further use.
Minors can’t enter legal contracts so they would have no recourse to get the money back.

I'm under 18 and PayPal locked my account. Someone sent me money though that I was not able to accept. I tried transferring the money to my bank account. However, it said there was an issue and couldn't transfer the money. Now, my money is stuck in my account still.
