On october 3, 2019, i sold a $320 item. The buyer send a positive feedback few weeks after stating a successful business transaction.
The buyer even emailed me to request for positive review.
On february 2, 2020, The buyer open a case on paypal and said that the transaction is unathorized.
On february 3, 2020, I provide overwhelming proof of screenshots of transaction proof and exchange messages with the buyer.
Today is the first time i open the paypal community and sadly learned that this seems to be a common scam and that Paypal usually sided with the buyer side (a.k.a scammer), leaving seller at a loss.
My questions are how many of you have successfully fight and won this case?
Where to escalate this issue and file for a loss?
What happened with the negative account on Paypal, do they forcefully take it from your bank account or do they send to a third party debt collector if you refuse to pay?
How to prevent this type of incident?
Thank you for your time and reply
