Hi there guys,

any advice for how to resolve limited account when they require a picture of receipt of purchase of product which I bought in second hand shop years ago? The product was used already and no receipt was given to me as there is no warranty on it. Thank you for any help.

Not yet Joshua, but I have provided my ID card pictures as required and contacted PayPal Customer Service Center, and have been told that it is OK for now. It was resolved after short time. Then another issue was that the money I received is still on hold, and I had to provide a shipping invoice information in Resolution Center (picture of docket with tracking number), aswell as in Dispute Notification section (just to provide a tracking number of shipping again - please make sure you do it with no mistakes/misreadings - be carefull). Just follow where it guides you to. After that I rang them again. I got connected with a specialist on the line who decided this dispute in my favour. She told me that now I have to wait until the customer receives the item. When he proves that, the money will be unblocked. So now I have to wait for his response with hope until the package physically gets to him by post.

So did you wait to send the item to the buyer? Ebay expects item to be sent out same day; but I’m afraid to send the item should the decide to not let my funds go. Then the buyer would have an item and 550 dollars back! Smh. I’m good with providing everything but a receipt for my item that’s almost 15 years old! I read different threads where people couldn’t provide that for my same reason and their limited account was never lifted and were blocked from PayPal services and couldn’t do anything with the money for 180 days!

When I was selling my item, I did not expect it to be sold so quick. So I forgot to check my eBay account, I checked it about 10 days after the customer paid it. But he put a dispute claim to a PayPal. So I sent it as soon as possible to provide a proof of shipping. As I said I called PayPal help line and tried to explain my fault. They accepted it with no problem. But money is still on hold. I am hoping the customer who purchased the item is honest and will provide information of receiving the item to make a happy end of that dispute on PayPal. I did my best to fix that, so I am hoping it is OK for both sides. My advice is to do your best and be polite. Just be good and you will be rewarded back.
