I filed a dispute and now have a case open because I did not receive a refund from the seller. The resolution center says I have 20 days to file a claim.

Is that the same as having a case# ? My case is being reviewed but I don't know if I need to file a claim or is it the same thing? I don't see anywhere that says file a claim. The seller isn't responding.

A dispute is for negotiation between you and the seller and if you don't get a refund or not happy with the sellers response you can escalate to a claim.

Once its a claim paypal gets involved.

You have 20 days to escalate but MUST to it before it times out after 20 days.

You can escalate whenever you want in that 20 days if you can't sort it with the seller.
