How do I open a dispute with a seller when a purchase goes wrong?

You can open a dispute in the Resolution Centre of your PayPal account within 180 days of payment if:
•You don’t receive the item
•You receive an item but it’s significantly different than the description on eBay or on the seller’s website

By opening a dispute, you can communicate directly with your seller to work out a problem transaction.

If you reach an agreement with the seller you can close the dispute. If you're still not happy with the result, you can escalate the dispute into a claim. We'll review the claim and decide on reimbursement.

These steps apply to Personal accounts. If you have a Business account, please log in to see the steps that apply to you.

To open a dispute:
1.Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click on the transaction and use the resolve a problem option at the bottom of that details page.

Note:
•Generally buyers must wait at least 7 days from the date of payment to escalate a dispute for an item not received
•Where an item has not been received, please ensure you have given the seller enough time before opening a dispute

DO NOT CLOSE THE DISPUTE UNTIL YOU HAVE A CLEARED REFUND OR YOUR ITEM WHATEVER THE SELLER SAYS. ALSO DON'T FORGET TO ESCALATE THE DISPUTE TO A CLAIM WITHIN 20 DAYS IF THE SELLER DOES NOT REFUND.

If that does not work then if you funded your paypal payment via a card then contact your card issuer and see if they will do a chargeback for you.

why don't I have this option Click on the transaction and use the resolve a problem option at the bottom of that details page Is it because the funds came from my bank's Mastercard through PayPal to the merchant? If so, then how do I make a dispute? And if it goes to the point of a claim, how do I go about that? I also purchased three items from this company and it's been nearly two months. Approximately two weeks ago I sent an email directly to the company I purchased from but haven't had any reply. So today I sent an email requesting a full refund for all three products from this company. I just don't know how to inform PayPal of my dispute? I appreciate any advice on this matter. Thank you

Item not received after over 30 days. I opened a Paypal dispute within the advised time frame. Company thru PayPal requested more time. I requested a refund. Shipping and item cost both refunded.

What a joke this company is.  They string out the dispute over goods received not being as described, do not answer your questions despite repeatedly asking, will not refund your money and Paypal close cases because of the length of time it takes for SCE to respond.  I am more than unhappy with both SCE and Paypals handling of a dispute.  Be warned.

Useless, untrustworthy robbers, who do not respond to ANY attempt to communicate with them.  As warned in another mail BEWARE and bouycott this unscrupulous company.

We're having problems with them now, they refuse to provide a prepaid shipping label, we have a bad out of box unit...Crazy! Strong Current Enterprises Limited
