Anyone had this?
Sold on Thebay a couple weeks ago, Money was put on hold... Logged into pay-pal this evening, just to see if it had cleared yet, allowing me to access my money..
Instead i was greeted with a message from pay-pal.... Saying this...

---You can't use PayPal anymore

At PayPal, we value a safer community for our customers to do business. We noticed activity in your account that's inconsistent with our User Agreement, and therefore we can no longer offer you PayPal services.

Any bank account or credit card details attached to your PayPal account can't be removed nor can they be used to create a new account. You can still log in and see your account information but you can't send or receive money. Any money in your balance will be held for 180 days, after which we'll send you an email with instructions on how to transfer your money.

I have no idea why this has happened, i only use my pay-pal to buy off Thebay, and sell the occasional thing..
But now suddenly my pay-pal is blocked and apparently i cant access my money for 180 days?
So i have got to wait 180 days for my "MONEY ON HOLD" to be accessible?

WTF is going on paypal? SORT IT OUT

If you have been told your Paypal account has been permanently limited then Paypal holds any funds for 180 days as that is the same time frame that buyers have to open paypal disputes.

If no disputes are opened against you in 180 days then 'normally' you are allowed to withdraw the funds as long as you are over 18, the account is in your legal name and registered in the country where you reside.

Sometimes they confiscate funds under this policy.

Paypal also may request further documentation from you before you can withdraw those funds.

Your best bet is to wait until the phones are back up and running and then phone customer services so that you can speak to an agent.
Then they can help advise on how you can withdraw the funds if and when you are allowed to do so. OR ........

Live chat is randomly available.
You can send them a message.
Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
